REVIEW: Oddballs!

After months of meaning to order some, I finally got around to buying myself a pair of Oddballs underwear. Well, three pairs to be precise.

Oddballs is an underwear company that aims to raise awareness of testicular cancer and through their success, actually became a fully-fledged charity, The Oddballs Foundation. 100% of the money donated to the foundation is used in the ongoing war against testicular cancer. Oddballs as an underwear company cover all of the day-to-day running costs of the foundation itself. The money they have raised so far is going towards fitting ‘check yourself’ guides into male toilets and changing rooms across the country.

Being guys, we don’t talk about these sorts of personal issues but we should! Talking helps raise awareness and might convince a guy to check his tackle. Let’s face it, guys are often called out for playing with it so why not be sure to check it regularly!

When you receive the underwear they even come in a packet with the instructions for checking your balls too along with some useful facts:

  • Testicular Cancer is the most prominent cancer in men aged 15-35.
  • Every hour, a male is diagnosed with Testicular Cancer.
  • Every day a life is lost.
  • If detected early it is over 90% curable!

I can't stress enough how important it is that you check your bits and pieces regularly and thoroughly. If you find something that doesn't feel right, GET IT CHECKED!!!
The three pieces of underwear I purchased.
As I have mentioned in previous reviews, I can be quite particular in how I like underwear to fit. I can’t stand loose underwear! These are fitted, but not so tight that there is no room for your junk to move a little. One thing I did note is that these seemed to have a high waistband, or at least a little higher than I am used to. It took me a little while to get used to it just because it was different for me but it wasn’t an issue. The handy thing with a higher waistband is that everyone will definitely see the brand you are wearing if you are the kind to wear your jeans or trousers a little lower.

Generally speaking, the fit is very comfortable and the fabric used is a stretch cotton. (95% cotton and 5% elastane). They fit well around the thigh and do not ride up throughout the day which is massively important because nobody likes underwear bunching up! Given that a lot of sports stars have also endorsed them I imagine it is a fair assumption to say that they are great for playing sport in too – I don’t do sport so I couldn’t possibly say.
I should note, that if boxer shorts are not your thing, they also sell briefs in the same patterns. Additionally, there are styles available for both Women and Children so they can show their support too!

With most pairs retailing at £9.99 these are also very affordable. You can also get bundles with two, three or four pairs in a pack. The more you purchase the cheaper it is per pair.

A large number of the designs are very bright, colourful and eye-catching making them unmissable but if you do want something a little plainer, they do also have some block colour designs available.

Above all, it is great knowing that by buying some, you are helping the fundraising and research as well as raising the awareness of testicular cancer. You can’t go wrong, really can you? Go buy yourself a pair right now HERE

Once again, I owe a debt of gratitude to Aaron Weight who took the photos outside in the freezing cold!

Thanks for stopping by and reading xx Remember, CHECK YOUR BITS!
